Job Description:

We are looking for an electrical technician to evaluate, assemble, and maintain electrical systems in equipment. You should be able to read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment. You will perform various functions, depending on the particular operations of the company. Your role is majorly to ensure effective repairs and maintenance of equipment. Entry requirements of this job:

• At least 3-5 years' experience as an electrical technician; maintenance, repair, and industrial electrical installation works, or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education

• Must be able to read, communicate and comprehend written and oral instructions in English

• Working knowledge of the basic principles of electricity, electronics, and algebraic formulas used in electrical calculations, and some factory training in process control electronic instrumentation

• Ability to perform moderate lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and in uncomfortable sitting or standing positions – often in cold, hot, and dusty environments

• Excellent problem-solving skills and good communication skill

• Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and appliances

• Planning and preparing work and testing schedules based on specifications and drawings

• Setting up equipment, undertaking tests, taking readings, performing calculations and recording and interpreting data such as electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

• Planning installation methods, checking completed installation for safety and controls or undertaking the initial running of the new electrical or electronic equipment or system.

• Diagnosing and detecting faults and implementing procedures to maintain efficient operation of systems and equipment

• Visit and advise clients on the use and servicing of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

• Installation of Control Panels

• Installation of Power Supplies

• 1st Fix & 2nd Fix

• Containment, Tray and trunking

• Deliver work packages to a high standard (BS7671) in commercial and domestic settings.

• Install and maintain varying work packages such as Inspection & Testing, Domestic Installation Emergency Lighting Installs, EV Charger Point Installs & Storage Heater Upgrade Programmes

• Complete work to industry standard

• Lead by example - solutions led, flexible, adaptable to our client`s needs.

• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment and appliances

• Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.

• Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.

• Supervising electricians.

• Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.

• Contributes to upkeep and updating of required paperwork such as records, maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, PM logs

• Regularly review and prioritise assigned service requests

• Fire alarms and emergency lighting system installation and maintenance.
